I live in an area where few people around me pay attention to
classical or broadway songs. I want to discuss more than just "what
music do you like" or "what genres do you enjoy?" I want to discuss
the underlying meanings behind music. I want to talk about and
entertain the ideas of hidden meanings in Mozart's "Die Zauberflote"
(The Magic Flute) or discuss the significance of placing evil
characters in operas as the baritones and basses, while the heros or
lovers are the tenors. I even want to discuss more modern music, like
the meaning of the Beatle's writing a song like "Maxwell's Silver
Hammer" when they wrote so much about love and romance. I want to get
recommendations from people who listen to and know what I might enjoy.
I want to understand more about music than I could ever imagine now,
I tried going on other chatrooms. I tried chat-avenue.com, but the
last conversation I saw there was something about circumcision.
